Michael Myers Halloween Manicure

Hello beauties! Today I have a manicure inspired by John Carpenter's horror classic, Halloween. This happens to be my favorite movie, maybe of all time! Halloween is a my favorite time of year, so I watch a ton of horror films. This one in particular is near and dear to my heart. This weekend, I will be attending the Flashback Weekend Horror Convention, and this year's theme is Halloween so many of the guests are cast members from the various movies throughout the years. To pay tribute to this iconic film, I made a manicure that is inspired by Michael Myers.

Check it out!

For my base color, I used Black on Black by Sinful Colors. I just picked this up the other day to try it out, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that this bargain brand polish was actually a one-coater! The formula wasn't bad to work with, though it came on just a little thick, it evened out just fine as it dried. I only used one coat for this manicure.

On the nails where I didn't do any special art, I just added a little glitter to give the look a little something extra. For this, I used Copper Penny by Sally Hansen. Let me just say that I loved this polish! It has glitter of various sizes, and has great disbursement. I only needed one coat of this polish, and you can see just how much glitter I got from that one coat. So pretty! I will definitely be utilizing this one in the coming months as Halloween approaches.

An up close look at the glitter.

Okay, so here is the finished product. Once again, I used acrylic paint to do my artwork.:
