Orly Infamous Holiday 2015 Collection Review

Hey there, beauties! Today, I have a collection that's actually been out in stores for weeks even though it's a holiday collection. This one is from Orly. I don't have many Orly polishes, but I've liked the polishes I have gotten from them, and every now and then, they put out some amazingly beautiful glitter polishes. This set wasn't on my list of must-buys, but it was being offered for a really tempting price so I said, "What the hey? Let's do this!" I'm a sucker for a bargain.

The name of this collection is called Infamous, and it offers some nice rich colors as well as that holiday sparkle we all crave! So let's check it out!

The first one I have is Front Page, and it is a lovely creamy metallic shimmer. Now, I have to tell you that when I first did this swatch, it was a dream. I had no issues. It was opaque in two coats, and I had no bubbling whatsoever. It was so great, buuuuut before I could take a picture, I had an e-ville puppy incident that royally messed up my mani, and then I did it again, and had another crisis (it was a bad day) which dinged it up again, and I didn't get the same result as the first time. It was opaque in three coats, and I had bubbles for days. So I'm gonna chalk it up to user error, because the first time was just amazing. I would've done this swatch for a fourth time, but I just needed to move on. Otherwise, it's not too brushstroke-y, and the color reminds me of yummy vanilla frosting. I like this color a lot, so hopefully, I can get it together, and not make a mess of it next time I wear it, because the first time I had it on, I got compliments.

Next is 15 Minutes of Fame which is a bright red jelly with glass flecks and holo micro glitter. In the bottle, you'll see it's rather sheer, so I wasn't really sure if I could build it to be opaque, but I did. It's a really lovely polish, though it took me four coats to get it fully opaque. In the end, I did end up liking it regardless. It's just so squishy, and of course, you can always use this as a layering polish.

Now, Frenemy is one that I absolutely loved. This one has a black jelly base with glass flecks, holo microglitter, and flakies! I love flakies! The formula was great. It was opaque in two coats, and very sparkly.

Makeup to Break Up is a dark teal cream. This was opaque in two coats. The formula was great to work with. Love it.

Scandal is bright cranberry creme. It's a pretty standard holiday color. I loved the formula for this one. It was easy to work with, and it's just a beautiful color. This was opaque in two coats.

Finally, we have the densely-packed glitter polish of this collection, and what is a holiday collection without a little bling? This one is called Gossip Girl, and it's a gorgeous full coverage glitter. I actually tried to swatch it over another polish, but it pretty much covered the entire color up, so I did a swatch of it on its own. This is opaque in two coats. Pretty nice formula. Not thick at all. I love the color of this one. It's gold, but with the mix of red and purple micro glitter, it really warms it up, and makes it something a little more unique. It's really beautiful.

A close up of glittery goodness

Overall, this is a nice little collection. Every color is really gorgeous and warm, and just perfect for the season. Aside from Front Page (but again, probably my fault), I didn't have any issues with them, and any one of these would be a great addition to your collection.

Cheers!
