Bee's Birthday Nails: Happy Birthday to Me!

Hello beautiful people!

Well, yesterday was my birthday, so I have done my final birthday manicure. This is what I'll be wearing tonight, since I'll be celebrating with my family. Lots of fun!

I love the colors in this one because I pull from the colors of the various glitter pieces. I may be one of the few people who loves It's a Trap-eze, but I think it's great for birthday manicures since it looks like confetti. Super cute!

For this manicure, I used the following:

Essie - Flowerista
Essie - Ruffles and Feathers
China Glaze - It's a Trap-eze
Sally Hansen - Tag Ur It!
Born Pretty - Black stamping polish
Bundle Monster - Stamping plate BM-H19

Bee's Birthday Nails: Garnet Nails

Howdy beautiful people!

For today's birthday nails, I went with my birthstone, garnet. I didn't exactly know how to achieve a true garnet color for this mani, so I just went with red, and tried to tone it done from being too pink. But now, I kinda want to experiment, and see if it's even possible to get a more brown-toned mani like this.

Anywho, here it is:

For this look, I used the following:

OPI - Red Hot Rio for the base.
Sinful Colors - Twilight Twinkles for glitter element.
OPI - Magenta Muse for sheer layer
OPI - Chromatic Orange to tone down the pink hue.

Bee's Birthday Nails: Aquarius

Hello lovely people!

It's been quite a while since I've blogged, but I'm getting back into it. I've had some stops and starts lately, but I've been going through some thangs, which I will talk about in another post. Obviously, I did not finish my Christmas nail art challenge. I've been finding that I should probably limit the challenges I participate in since these are my natural nails, and the challenges are pretty rough on them.

Speaking of rough, the holidays were not kind to my nails...or rather, I was not. So, back to the nub club for me. Also, I while I was on hiatus, I realized that I wanted to incorporate some other things besides nails and nail polish on this blog a little more. I actually did not intend on this blog to be exclusively about nails, so hopefully, I can add a few new things into the mix.

Alrighty...so with that out of the way, here is my first nail design of the year. This week, I'm celebrating my birthday, so I thought I'd do a couple of designs for the occasion.

For this design, I decided to do my astrological sign, which is Aquarius. I got to bust out one of my polishes from the Marvel & DC Comics Collection by Esmaltes da Kelly. I don't have all of the polishes from this collection, but I'm still working on getting as many as I can get my hands on. They're really pretty. I've only tried one other, which was the Hawkeye polish, and loved it. This one is Superman, and it's so lovely in person. It has loads of sparkle. The formula for this one is great. You're looking at one coat here. I finally broke down and got a proper stamping polish from BornPretty, and so far, so good.

I used the following products to achieve this look:

Esmaltes da Kelly - Superman
BornPretty Stamping Polish - White
Ya Qin An - Y020 Zodiac Stamping Plate
